Water1st in Honduras

I shot this video on assignment with Water1st International in August, 2006 in Lempira, Honduras. We visited the community of San Gabriel, which was in the process of building their new water system, funded by Water1st. We met with community members in the church, and then visited work sites where the men were transporting pipe into the mountains where they were building the new water system.

We were visiting Honduras at the end of the rainy season, and we got drenched on several occasions. I was packing my cameras in a new case, which was an experiment in waterproofing the gear in wet climates. The case is made by Pelican, and it worked really well. It kept everything completely dry in torrential downpours. I was able to lock it into the back of the pickup trucks, too and not worry about heat or theft.
